Michael Salnikoff, 96, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Savannah Commons. He was a native of Detroit, Michigan and lived in Savannah since 1950. After high school, he worked at the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant. Mr. Salnikoff served in the United States Navy during World War II retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He was also a Pearl Harbor survivor. After active duty, he continued his service in the United States Navy Reserves.
