She was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church and a former member of Southside Baptist Church. She was active in Women of the Moose. Surviving are a son, John G. Sherrill of Kennesaw, GA; a daughter, Dorothy H. Willis of Savannah; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
