Ollie "Tutie" Rowe
February 15, 1924 - October 16, 2014
SAVANNAH – Ollie Gentry Rowe was born February 15, 1924, the third child of Mr. Fred S. Gentry and Mrs. Edna Hillier Gentry.
She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
She was a homemaker and the wife of the late Coy M. Rowe, Sr. with whom she had eight children. Ollie was married to Coy for 63 years until his passing in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son, Clinton R. Rowe.
Surviving children include her daughter Mrs. Edna Rowe Carter and son-in-law, Kenneth B. Carter, Sr. of Mobile, AL; daughter Miss Barbara Rowe Coone of Savannah, GA; son, Mr. Coy McNeal Rowe, Jr. of Pembroke, GA; son, Mr. Allen E. Rowe of Savannah, GA; daughter, Mrs. Polly Rowe Lewis and son-in-law Paul E. Lewis of Statesboro, GA; son, Mr. Mitchell G. Rowe of Savannah, GA; daughter, Mrs. Wendy Rowe Spradley and son-in-law GT Spradley of Savannah, GA. Mrs. Rowe is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2014, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Memorial Park.
