Charles "Charlie" W. McCall II (the second), age 75, died at Memorial Medical Center September 16 after a short illness. He retired from Union Camp Corporation in 1998 after 31 years as an industrial engineer in the Bag and Corporate divisions. He was a 1962 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology. He served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Savannah Golf Club and former member of the Bacon Park Senior Blitz. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frank S. McCall, Sr. and Elizabeth P. McCall.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean L. McCall, daughter and son-in-law, Terri (Bobby), son and daughter-in-law, Chuck (Dawn), and grandchildren, Brittany Jarrell, Kelli Jarrell, Lauren McCall, Hunter McCall, and Chase McCall. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Frank (Jeanette) and sister and brother-in-law, Betsy (Dick) and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at Fox &Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
If desired, remembrances may be made to the Savannah Junior Golf Association, P.O. Box 60517, Savannah, GA 3141O; Wilmington Island United Methodist Church Building Fund, 195 Wilmington Island Road, Savannah, GA 31410 or the charity of the donor's choice.

Uncle Charlie will forever be a part of some of my best memories of childhood-- summers at the McCall beach house with a full house of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be missed by many.
