The Woodland, GA native was a longtime resident of Savannah and a member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus. He had lived in Chester, GA for the past three years. He was the former co-owner of C&S Upholstery Supply and was retired from the S & A Railroad as a switch foreman. Mr. Crumpton was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II.
