Savannah- Sadie Owen Carr, 94, passed on Thursday May 17th. Born in Columbia, Tennessee, she spent the past few years in Savannah with her daughter, Patti Carr Lyons and son-in-law, Patrick Lyons. Sadie was one of six girls and left the family farm at the age of 18 for Washington D.C. She worked as a secretary for Eleanor Roosevelt and joined the Marine Corp when WWII began.
