I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one Frankie Patton. Losing a loved one is very hard to go through. May you find comfort and endurance from God. (Isaiah 25:8)

Frankie always treated me like I was one of his own. I will always remember and cherish the trips to Savannah where Frankie would drive us around and share the history of the city as well as his many experiences as a Merchant Marine. Brianna and I speak of those memories often and how we will miss those special times together. Frankie was a very talented individual as Sandra mentioned in her post. He put a lot of love, time and care into handmade items that he gifted us with. I still have the leather purse that he made for me many years ago. I also have hanging in my dining room, a sailboat picture that Frankie and Estelle gave me several years back that has remained one of my all-time favorite pictures.Estelle and family, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Family and Friends, I'm sorry for your loss. I just wanted to leave you with an encouraging scripture that has helped me deal with the loss of a loved one. It is found in the Bible Book of Palm 34:18 here God assures us that He is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit.

I knew Frankie was a keeper the first time he entered our home with mom. My toddler granddaughter, Brianna, grabbed his hand and the two of them took off to explore the yard. She would just climb in his lap and go to sleep. That was a very unusual thing for her to do as she didn't trust many people. Through the years Frankie was a loving stepfather. He spent hours reading cookbooks and recipes. He taught me how to make shrimp scampi like a true southerner. I have physical tokens of his love - a handmade leather covers for my bar stools, a personalized leather purse and billfold, a giraffe he got during his travels, etc. but most importantly I have the memories. Him and Marvin sitting on the porch laughing and telling each other tall tales. When he wasn't at his best, he would laugh when I'd call him Cranky Frankie. I thank him for being a loving husband to my mother. Even though I can't be at the service, please know that I am celebrating his life. Thank you for sharing your dad. . . . Sandra and Marvin Thompson, Brianna Rogers.
