Colonel Bobby F. Herndon (Ret), 81, son of late Frank C. Herndon and Mary Lou Autry Herndon, spending the earliest years of his life in Belton, South Carolina where he attended Belton High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force in March 1951 and served in Korea during the Korean War. Colonel Herndon was assigned to the Second Bomb Wing at Hunter Air Base when he returned from Korea and spent the rest of his tour of duty march 1956. Chieko Harada left us during her stay at Hospice Savannah the morning of Friday the 13th. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday in October and was as lively as ever until these recent months when her health deteriorated rapidly.
