SAVANNAH - Bettie E. Fitzgerald passed away on April 23, 2015 at The Marshes of Skidaway Island, GA. She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband of 59 years, Joseph F. Fitzgerald. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from The Packer Collegiate Institute. She and her husband lived in Westfield, NJ where they raised their three daughters and she worked in real estate. Terry McIntosh Kimball, 82, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Garfield, Georgia, son of Joseph W. and Ruby Kimball. He lived in Savannah most of his life and was a graduate of Savannah High School. After high school, he entered the United States Navy serving as a radio operator on the P2V Neptune war planes. Truly a man of "uncommon valor." As a teenager, Johnnie left his Georgia home to work with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Utah. At the age of 22, he served with the U. S. Marine Corps, Company "A" 10th Amphibian Tractor Battalion during WWII in the Pacific and in the Battle of Iwo Jima.
