Christine Tullis Outland, 86, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Savannah. Ms. Outland was born in Savannah, GA on March 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth Fort Tullis. After graduating high school, she began working with the Office of Housing and Price Administration and later HAAF where she met Mr. Billy M. Outland, who she later married in 1958. They traveled extensively during his military career and her civil service career, but ultimately returned to the Savannah area in 1975. In 1940, Mr. Rushing mobilized with the National Guard, 118th Field Artillery and served for three years. Soon after, he worked for one and a half years at Southeastern Shipyard.
