He was born on March 5, 1932 to Walter and Mozelle Green in Lindale, Georgia where he lived until joining the Air Force. In 1952 he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Gay Demark, while serving in the Air Force at Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah.
