Born on March 29th, 1952 to Henry & Marguerite Baker, West was a kind and caring man who had a ferocious appetite for learning. He was a proud graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University's Nuclear Medicine program and enjoyed sharing his love of music with others. In 1999, West fell in love with Joyce, and the two were married at St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church.
