She was a native of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, born 9 October 1921, the seventh of the eight children of Joseph Henri Piette and Odelie Marie Noel. On 5 September 1942 at St. Ann's Church, she married Raymond Joseph Emile Chabot of Woonsocket. She worked during World War II for the Pratt and Whitney aircraft company.
