Latane went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Latane celebrated her 100th birthday on May 5, 2016. She was born in Statesboro, GA, the daughter of the late Henry and Kate Lanier and sister of the late Catherine Lanier Hagan. She attended Statesboro schools and Georgia Southern College. Latane married Albert Frederick Schuller of Youngstown, OH in July 1943 and after the war settled in Savannah to raise her family. Latane and Al were married 59 years before his passing in 2003.
