Bounnanh Phengsavathdy, 67, passed peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
He was an amazing and adoring husband, father, and grandfather, an equally caring and devoted son and brother. After 30 years of service with the City of Savannah, he retired in 2011. He enjoyed singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and exploring the mountains. He came to America with a vision of giving his family a better life, and he was able to accomplish his vision swimmingly. He was always on the go, and was either working on a project or painting. He loved life, his family and his friends. He fought very hard until the very end and always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife: Bounyoung Phengsavathdy; his children: Bounsoung Phengsavathdy, Amphone Phengsavathdy, Darling Phengsavathdy, and John Phengsavathdy; as well as his grandchildren: Jayson Taylor, Nang Chanh, Nang Souk and Nang Wanh.
He will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A celebration of his life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
