Steve Perkins

SAVANNAH - Clinton Steven “Steve” Perkins, 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Thunderbolt Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Steve was born March 16th, 1932 in North Carolina and lived most of his life in Savannah, GA and Murphy, NC.
After graduating from High School, Steve joined the United States Navy serving from February 1951 to February 1955. Upon leaving the Navy, Steve worked at Proctor & Gamble. In February 1959, he started working for Hunt Wesson Foods where he retired in March of 1989. While working at Hunt Wesson, Steve joined and served in the Air Force Reserves and retired in August 1977 with the rank of Technical Sergeant.
Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing but his passion was working on guns.
Surviving are his wife, Doris S. Perkins, of Savannah, GA, 6 step daughters, Kym Aeger; Tonya Carey (Jeff); Nikki Lee (Terry), all of Savannah, GA, Nicole Beasley (Daniel), of Guyton, GA, Krystle Barrett (Jeff) of Marietta, GA and Beth Moore (Chuck) of Greensboro, GA; 9 step grandchildren, John Aeger; Matthew Carey; Conner and Christopher Lee, all of Savannah, GA, Emily Harrison and Ashlyn Beasley of Guyton, GA, Sydney and Sophie Barrett of Marietta, GA, Keven Moore (Kara), and 3 step great-grandchildren, Levi Harrison, Jackson and Lindsay Moore.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 with a memorial service beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
