Allison Kitchings Hearn, 59, of Savannah, received her permanent wings on October 14, 2017. Born on August 16, 1958 in Savannah, she worked as a paralegal alongside her father, Alton D. Kitchings, who preceded her in death. Upon his retirement, she worked in student affairs at Savannah State University and then helped establish the Gateway Program at Savannah Technical College. The Savannah native resided as a youth, in the Old Fort Section of Savannah and attended St. Marist School. Carl served as operating engineer in the United States Merchant Marines, from 1937 to 1950, servicing during World War II.
