James Donald Braun, of Savannah, Georgia, died at home on November 8, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and finally cancer. Don was born in Savannah on July 6, 1945, to Edwin Erich Braun and the former Margaret Hudson. He graduated from Savannah High School in 1963 and then Newberry College. After a short time with an accounting firm, Don joined the family business, Braun Construction, and took over as President after his father’s retirement.
