The Long Island, NY native was a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY and a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked with Republic Aviation for several years before joining Grumman Aerospace, later moving with Grumman to Savannah. He retired from Gulfstream Aerospace.
