Evelyn Louise Kersten, 88, of Skidaway Island died Friday, September 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Medina, Ohio and received a Doctorate of Education degree from Columbia University. Mrs. Kersten taught nursing at the New York University for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and was a lifetime devotee of yoga. She and her husband retired to the Landings where she had served as president of Garden Club of the Landings. Surviving are her husband, Paul J.
