Charles Thomas Schauss, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Augusta University Medical Center. Chuck was originally from Flushing, New York. After graduating from the Pennsylvania Military College in 1965, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Infantry. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, one with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade and the second as a combat advisor with South Vietnamese Regional Forces.
