The Thomasville, GA native was a longtime resident of Isle of Hope where she was a member of the Wymberly Garden Club. Mrs. Byrd was a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, the Sparklers Bible Study Group, and the Wylly Dupon Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Savannah Christian Women's Club.
