Celebrating the life of
Sandra S. Jones
September 29, 1918 - April 20, 2006
Sandra S. Jones went to Heaven on April 20 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to be reunited with her husband, Walter D. Jones.
Sandra will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was a strong Christian woman who believed all things were possible through God. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of the Islands where she taught Sunday School for over three decades.
She leaves behind a son, John M. Orr, Sr.; step-daughter, Cheryl Rae Meyers; grandson, John M. Orr, Jr.; granddaughter, Cindy Hamilton; five great-grandchildren; Jennifer Orr, Sandy Orr, Michael Fulmer, Kirsten Hamilton and Thomas Hamilton, Jr.; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Sandra will be laid to rest with he husband at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
I offer my prayers and send my love to you, the family, especially Mike and John. Sandra Jones was my mother's Dema S. Shook sister. I loved Aunt Sandy very much and will always cherish the memories of the times that we did get to be together. My thoughts and prayers will be with you in the coming days.
