Fox & Weeks presents Matthews Children’s Foundation grant to The Jack Kolbush Foundation

Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors was honored to present a Matthews Children’s Foundation grant in the amount of $1000 to the Jack Kolbush Foundation.

The Jack Kolbush Foundation is non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to serving families of children who have cancer or chronic blood disorders with the financial, educational and emotional support necessary to cope with their life-threatening illness. The Jack Kolbush Foundation was established in 2026 in memory Jack who passed away at the age of five from Non-Hodgkin’s T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.  The Jack Kolbush Foundation serves families throughout the Coastal Empire with emergency financial assistance, bereavement support and works with the Child Life team at the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital to make a child’s hospital visit as kid-friendly and normal as possible.

Fox & Weeks has now awarded more than more than $60,000 in Matthews Children’s Foundation grants since launching the program. Each time a family purchases a casket at Fox & Weeks, a portion of the cost is donated to the Matthews Children’s Foundation in the name of the deceased and the accumulated funds are distributed quarterly through an application process to area non-profits benefitting children and children’s causes.

The Matthews Children’s Foundation is affiliated with the Mathews International Corporation casket division and has delivered millions of dollars in grants throughout the country since its introduction in the early 1990s. Fox & Weeks is the only funeral home in the Coastal Empire or the South Carolina Lowcountry actively participating in the Matthews Children’s Foundation program supporting non-profit organizations dedicated to children.

Any organization in the area dedicated to providing for children’s needs is eligible to apply for a Matthews Children’s Foundation grant. To qualify for a Matthews Children’s Foundation grant through Fox & Weeks, an application must be submitted and an organization’s activities must be primarily directed towards the welfare and benefit of children.

Please call Fox & Weeks at (912) 352-7200 for more information or click on Matthew's Children Foundation to learn more about the Matthews Children’s Foundation application process.
