Juanita Bentz Davis

Juanita Bentz Davis, 83, passed into heaven on Friday, July 14, 2006 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Davis was born on July 4, 1923 and was married to her soul mate, the late Walter T. Davis, Jr. 1920-1991 for forty-nine years. She was a proud member of Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Judith D. and Tony Demas of Savannah, Marsha D. and Jeff Bowman of John’s Island, SC, Sherill D. and the late Alton R. Pender of Savannah, Susan D. and Phillip Brigdon of Midway and Walter T. "Buster” and Colleen Davis of Cincinnati, OH; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2006 at Hope Baptist Church on White Bluff Rd with Rev. John Tramell, Jr. officiating. Active pallbearers are Anthony Demas, Jr., Jeff Bowman, Steven Corbett, Steven Cox, James Webster and Patrick Preston. Honorary pallbearers are Julianne Davis, Dr. Greer E.Noonburg MD, Dr. Carlton R. Kemp MD, and Dr. Robert W. Beard MD.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Garden where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
