Vincent J. Randi
December 11, 1922 - September 17, 2007
Vincent James Randi 84, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.
He was a native and longtime resident of Hew Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Randi was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Signal Corps and the Military Police throughout Europe during WWII. Mr. Randi and his wife Elena moved to Savannah in 1971 and owned and operated the Travelers Motel, the Sandman Motel, The Abercorn Motel and the Abercorn Shoppes.
Surviving are, his wife of sixty years, Elena Priscilla Randi of Savannah, a son, Lance D. Randi of Savannah, his daughters, Sharyn Dale Acampora and husband Joseph of West Haven, CT and Elena Jamieson Carter and husband Steve of Savannah; his brothers, Anthony Randi of New Haven, CT and Julius Randi of Branford, CT; his grandsons, Jordan Carter of Savannah and Craig James Randi ; his granddaughters, Jackie Acampora of West Haven, CT., Carrie Acampora of West Haven, CT., Stephanie Carter of Savannah and Victoria Randi, and his daughter-in-law, Cindy Randi of Savannah.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with inurnment in the Catholic Cemetery.
Services in New Haven, Connecticut will be at a later date.
