To the Family of Ms. Horne, Some people are so special and such a part of our everyday existence that we begin to feel that they are immortal. Ms. Horne was one of those special people. Her face with her bright, sparkling blue eyes and radiant smile always made me feel welcome whenever I would run across her in the halls of BSS. Her love and unflagging dedication to teaching our children are going to be sorely missed. I am so thankful that my eldest daughter had the honor of having her as her teacher. May the Lord comfort you all and may you know in your hearts that she was so very loved by all of us and we share in your sadness. With our most sincere condolences, The Martin Fretty Family

- Martin, Orietta, Roxanne & Rachel Fretty, Savannah, GA

Ms. Horne was an amazing teacher. I miss the 8th grade religion classes in the church, where I learned more about what it is to be a true devout Catholic than ever before. I also remember when she worked with the honor society to raise money for me to be able to take a trip to Holland. Her hard work made the difference from me making my goal and staying home that summer! She will be missed dearly! My condolences and best wishes to her family. With Love, Dominique Trappio

Mrs. Horne was a rock to many, a lover to all, and a hand to those in need. I would be lost, religously, without her stern, sweet, and affective teaching skills. I will always remember her loving, compassionate smile. She brought many tears to her family but even more to all of those she taught and those she didn't. The reason that many aren't in tears still today is because she always said that dieing on Holy Week was her dream, so Mrs. Horne your dream was fufilled.

- Sarah Welsh, Savannah, GA

Mrs. Horne was the most inspiring person in my life. She taught my father and most of my family. Our whole Blessed Sacrament family will always be effected by her love and great knowledge of the Catholic Church. She was always there to make sure we were disciplined while at the same time having extreme fun. I am glad to say that she died in Holy week, when she has informed us many times that this was when she wanted to go see God. I believe, as our school does, that she is already in heaven telling God that we all deserve Him. I miss Mrs. Jerry Horne very much and feel her everytime I walk by her office. There is no other person who could stay at Blessed Sacrament that long through all the many years of Irish children. We love you, Mrs. Horne!

- Caroline Ebberwein, Savannah, GA

What an inspiring woman she was to all she taught. I was in awe of her from the time I was at BSS in 1969 til I graduated in 1977. I loved being in her class due to her demanding and receiving the respect she deserved, especially from the hardheaded boys. She was one of the few teachers that we would all strive to please everyday, because when Ms. Horne praised you for your accomplishments, you knew you had achieved greatness. I'm so grateful that my daughter Olivia in 8th grade this year also had the honor of knowing her since she began BSS in kindergarten. The halls of Blessed Sacrament will never be the same without her. Her grace, attitude and beautiful blue eyes will be greatly missed. My prayers are with her family, all the children and teachers of BSS, who now mourn her loss. May you fly with angels Ms. Horne for you truly have been one.

LOVE-this is the word that describes Mrs. Horne. Not only did she love but she taught the meaning of love to all those who she were touched by her wisdom. When all of those who new her think of how she spent her life they probably think of the love that was brought to many threw her works from God. I know that all of her children will miss her but all they have to do is walk through the halls of Bleessed Sacrament to find her watching over all of us. ~Sarah Welsh

I went to Blessed Sacrament for 11 years from the three year old program to the 8th grade. In that span of time, i think I can recall only a few days that she was absent from school. From 6th grade Religion class on the stage, to 8th grade Religion class in the church, she managed to turn me into a devout catholic. I go to church every Sunday and all the Holy days of obligations, and I attend reconciliation regularly. She will be missed not only by me, but by generations and generations of students that went throught Blessed Sacrament. Her school. My condolences to the family. she always talked about her sons and how proud she was. I'll never forget Mrs. Horne and may God continue to bless her and her family. You will be in my prayers. ~Love Rajan Dulamal
