Mary Elliott "Ellie" Hart passed away on March 26, 2008. Ellie was born May 7, 1971 in Wilmington, NC, and grew up in Durham, NC. She graduated from Northern Durham High School in 1989. She graduated from University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 1995 with a degree in criminal justice. She proudly served on the Winston Salem Police Department, then moved into Probation and Parole, working for the states of North Carolina and Georgia. She was a gifted artist and loved animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Emily and son, Ryan Andrew; parents, James Douglas and Carolyn Morris and Bob Edleman and his wife, Bonnie Gaster; sisters, Caroline Hope and Amanda Elizabeth Morris. She was a devoted mother who always placed the care and well-being of her beloved children above everything else. She will be missed more than words can describe.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

I met Ellie at UNC-Wilmington as a Tri Sigma. After graduation I ran into her again in WS when I started my own pet sitting business. Ellie gave me some pointers and recommended some clients to me. She even hired me as her pet sitter! I lost touch with Ellie after she moved from WS but still hold fond memories of her within my heart.

Robert, I did not know her but Loved her as my neice. Daniel called me and I was shocked and saddened. What a beautiful baby she was last time I saw her was when my boys burned down the woods.
