Agnes B. Munn

Agnes Brightwell Munn, 89, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 under the care of Hospice Savannah.

Agnes was a native of Thomasville, GA and lived most of her life in Savannah. She was born on February 28, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Mattie Brightwell. She worked on the WPA Work Project Administration in the 1930's. She was employed at Union Camp in the bag-making department. Agnes in later years retired from the nursing profession. She was a member of Burkhalter Baptist Church in Savannah.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert L. Walters. She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Jean Walters of Richmond Hill and Sheila Consos and husband John of Duluth, GA; sons, Roy A. Munn of Canton, GA and William C. Munn, Jr. of Savannah and sister, Eunice "Polly" White of Savannah. She is also survived by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Monday at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
