Jim J. White

Jim J. White, 77, died Thursday, December 18, 2008. He was a native of Lanier, Georgia and lived in Savannah all of his life. Jim was a devoted Christian family man and was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He served as a minister, teacher, and song leader in the Lord's church and was a mighty warrior for the Lord.
Jim was retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years of service and served as a board member for the Coastal Center for Developmental Services.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Hosea White, Harold White, Ronald White, and Robert White.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myra S. White; two sons, Jeff White and Wade White; one daughter, Carol Lollar; two grandchildren, Brett Lollar and Vicki Howell; three great-grandchildren, Harold Lollar, Adrian Lollar, and Walker Howell. He is also survived by two brothers, Joe White and Jesse James White, and two sisters, Betty Oliver and Lilly Williams.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
