Henry S. Brown

Henry S. Brown, 90, died at home Saturday, February 21.

He was born May 28, 1918, the youngest child of Emily Sulter Brown and Edward J. Brown, Sr. and was a 1935 graduate of Benedictine Military School. He served in the Air Corps in Africa during World War II. He and Mary Jane Fahey were married on Sept 18, 1948. He was an accountant at Union Camp Corp. and retired in 1980 after a 30 year career in Savannah, Alabama and Michigan. A longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, he sang in the choir for many years. He was a Knight of Columbus, a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, BC Survivors Club and a "lunch bunch" with fellow Union Camp retirees.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Jack Brown and sisters, Margaret Hamrick and Regina Johnston. Survivors are his brother, Edward J. Brown, Jr., Esther, his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Fahey Brown, his son, Dr. Hal Brown Angie, grandchildren, Ryan and Erica Brown, and daughter, Mary Catherine Read Randy, granddaughter, Tracy Watts Todd, and great-grandchildren, Cade, Payne and Ella Watts, and nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 23 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel from 5-7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Blessed Sacrament Church on Tuesday, February 24 at 10 a.m.

Remembrances: St. Mary's Home, Social Apostolate, Benedictine Military School, or Blessed Sacrament Church.
