SAVANNAH - Norman E. Smith, affectionately known as Pa, passed away quietly on Sunday, May 10, 2009 as a result of a stroke.
Born in Canada, April 19, 1925, he adopted Savannah as his hometown after meeting and marrying Catherine Jiran while stationed there during the Second World War.
He is survived by Catherine, his wife of 63 years, son Howard, grandchildren Bryan and Kevin, and Cora and Jasper, his great-grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes, there will be a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m.
You will be missed dear cousin and friend.For Cat,Howard and your family, for Louis & Mike....Norm loved you all so much. Know that you will always stay in our thoughts and prayers as will Norm.
