Louis. B. "Lou" Nagy, 86, passed away June 20, 2011. He was born in New York City, NY, son of the late Joseph and Barbara Czinke Nagy. Lou received a bachelor's degree from New York University. He moved to Savannah in 1958 and was retired from Atlantic Insurance Company. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, the Wilmington Island Club, the Chatham Club, and the Kiwanis Club and served as chairman of the Board of Equalization.

Surviving are his wife, Rose V. Nagy of Savannah; daughter, Adrian N. Cutten of Savannah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian L. and Cindy Nagy of Orange Park, FL; Keith V. and Paula Nagy of Jacksonville, FL: grandchildren, Brett Nagy, Spence Nagy, Tate Nagy, Ryan Nagy, Sydney Cutten and several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer followed by a reception at the Wilmington Island Club.

Family of Lou Nagy, I only knew Mr. Nagy for a short time. He was a wonderful man who loved his wife and family. I talked with him often and he was always smiling. He will be greatly missed. Peggy Craft Board of Equalization
