Wilmington Island - Jeanne S. Henry, 92, died Tuesday, September 14, 2011 under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Henry was born in Savannah on December 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Frank W. and Otillie B. Spencer. She was a graduate of Pape School and received her formal education from Bradford Junior College. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Church. She was also a member of the Savannah Yacht Club and loved to play golf and bridge.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Henry; daughter, Jeanne M. Henry; sisters, Adelaide Edleman and Margaret Lubs and brothers, Frank W. Spencer, Jr. and Hugo Spencer. She is survived by her daughter, Kathrine Henry Robert Neuman of Chevy Chase, MD; granddaughter, Molly Neuman of Brooklyn, NY; grandsons, Frank and Andrew Neuman of Chevy Chase, MD and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Pearl Lee for all of her loving care.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Bonaventure Cemetery.
