Dorothy C. "Mama Dot" Hudson, passed away on January 28, 2012 after suffering a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 22, 1921, she was 90 at the time of her death.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Harold E. "Bucky" Hudson and her children, Harold C. "Hal" Sims, II Glenda and Caren D. Blackwell Ben; four grandchildren, W. Claiborne Lewis, Jr., Heather C. Fries, Lance A. Sims, R. Kevin Webb; and seven great-grandchildren.

She lived a full life, beginning her working career with radio station WSGA, then following with positions at American Cyanamid and concluding at Grumman Aerospace. She was a sweet woman with a zest for life, adored by her husband, family and beloved by many.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a funeral service following at 7:00 p.m.

The burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
