Savannah- Franklin D. Smith, 77, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1935 in Widen, West Virginia and has lived in Savannah for over forty years.
Surviving are his brother, Hugh and his wife Carol of West Virginia; son, Mark; daughters Treva, Tambra, Tina; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service and burial will be held in West Virginia on a date to be announced.
The family suggests any remembrances be made in his memory to the Cancer Society of their choosing.
Buddy I will always love you as you took my heart with you when you left. But one day you will hear me yell hello Uncle Buddy then you will know we are back at Cowen High.Catch you soon.
