SAVANNA – Mrs. Lula M. Kelly, 70, passed away on November 13, 2012, at Candler Hospital. Born March 6, 1942 to the late Pearlie M. Golden and Otis Ellison in Sylvania, Georgia, she was educated in the Screven County School System until she moved to Savannah where she graduated from A.E. Beach High School. Lula was employed with the Mosovitz Produce Company for many years, and then as a dietician at Memorial Medical Center for several years. She was a member of the Temple of Glory Community Church where she served on the Usher Board until her health began to fail.

She leaves behind her husband, Willie Kelly; four sons, Chris Golden Renee of Jacksonville, FL, Terry Golden of Savannah, GA, Byron Kelly of Atlanta, GA, and Dennis Kelly Connie of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Michelle Riley of Savannah, GA; two step-daughters, Easter and Katrina; two uncles, John Bryant of Jacksonville, FL and William McKinley Bryant of Shreveport, LA; two brothers-in-law, B. W. Kelly Vera and Robert Kelly Gracie of Davenport, IA; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Johnson Carl of Rock Island, IL; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Temple of Glory Community Church with Bishop Matthew Odum officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Abbey West Mausoleum.
