GUEST BOOK

I was in the Air Force in Germany with Jim in the 50's and will always remember him as a good friend.

Dear Joan & Lodwick family, I just had a phone call from my sister Barb and heard about Jim. I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man. I was sitting here and trying to remember the very first time I met Jim. It was a summer vacation in Monmouth. Your Mom, our Aunt Helen and Uncle Merrill were living in the house before they moved over to that big 2 story house. I was no more than 10 years old in 1959 when Jim and Jerry decided to show me how to launch a car on the sidewalk using Chinese firecrackers and the cut off tops of match heads. Jim lit that mess and it went no more than about 2 feet. Jerry, Jim and I just laughed ourselves crazy. The other time I remember Jim being so kind to me was just before I went over to Clark Air Base in 1968; the 2 of us went to the Smoke House in Monmouth to play pool. I'm so glad these memories have stayed with me and I can pass them along to you. I love you and take care, Bud and Rose DuPont
