W.H. "Bill" SchloenbachDecember 09, 1926 - April 21, 2013

SAVANNAH, GA - W.H. "Bill" Schloenbach, 86, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

Mr. Schloenbach was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 9, 1926, the son of the late James and Helen Holden Schloenbach. He was a 1950 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a degree in chemical engineering. While at Georgia Tech, he became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He went on to earn a degree in law from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1957. He worked for the B.F. Goodrich Company where he retired after over forty years as a Marketing Manager. While employed with B.F. Goodrich he was a member of the Winners Circle Sales Honor Society. He was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants and a longtime member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church where he was active with the Berean Sunday School Class. Outside of his career and civic involvement, Bill enjoyed maintaining, landscaping, and manicuring his lawn. He also enjoyed fly-fishing and traveling, both for professional and personal enjoyment.

Mr. Schloenbach was preceded in death by his late wives, Jayne Schloenbach and June Schloenbach. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Barbara Tooher Schloenbach; son, Steven H. Schloenbach and wife Jane of North Canton, OH; daughter, Susan J. Sosa of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Kyra, Victoria, Sidney, Allison, and Brittney; step-children, Judy Morin and husband Vernon of Greenfield, NJ and Allison Johnson and husband Rod of Columbia, SC; step-grandchildren, Alex, Clifford, Amelia, and Hunter.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Berean Sunday School Class.
