SAVANNAH – Eugene L. Kolb, 84, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Azalealand Nursing Home. A native of Georgetown, LA, Mr. Kolb entered the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam before retiring in 1968 as a Master Sergeant.  After his retirement the family moved to Savannah where Mr. Kolb worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. as an appliance repairman, retiring again in 1983.

Surviving are three children, Sharon A. Seng and her husband Bill of Savannah, Robert D. Kolb of Savannah, and Sandra A. Rogers and her husband Jeff of Madison, GA; a sister, Geraldine Bailey of Columbia, LA; a brother, Billy Kolb of Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Shelley Brabham Kolb.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to a Hospice organization of your choice.
