Johann G. "Hans" Niedermeier
August 23, 1922 - April 17, 2015
SAVANNAH – Johann G. “Hans” Niedermeier, 92, died Friday, April 17, 2015, in Savannah. A native of Germany, he had been living the American Dream for the past 55 years. Surviving are a daughter, Heidi Wohlert, and her husband, Dieter, of Savannah; a granddaughter, Christina; and a sister, Klara Roeschmann.
Mr. Niedermeier’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of John Wesley Villa and Hospice Savannah for their compassion and excellent care. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Mr. Niedermeier was one of my favorite people I met while working at John Wesley Villas. He was incredibly sweet and funny and I feel very lucky to have met him and your family! Sending many thoughts and hugs your way!

Dear Heidi and Family. I would like to tell you that it was a pleasure and honor to care for your father both in his home there at the assisted living as well as the Hospice House. I enjoyed meeting him and hearing his stories of his life in Germany and America. He was a precious man and he made many people very happy. God Bless you all. Deby
