Lisa and Maureen- I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your brother/son. You have been through so much and I will continue to keep you both in my prayers.

- Nancy Manucy Lawson, Savannah, Ga

Maureen and Lisa, our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time. We were shocked and saddened at the news of Bobbys death. He was our friend and neighbor for over 24 years but gradually, he became part of our family. He was there for our children when they needed a non-parental ear. At family gatherings, one of our granddaughters would announce, "Uncle Bobby's here!" when he walked through the door. Even our dog knew if Bobbys garage door was open, he would get a treat. Through that garage door came strains of Jimmy Buffet (or whatever music Bobby was into) or the "yell" whenever Georgia made a touchdown. We will miss that. We will miss Bobby, terribly.

- John and Kathy Miskiewicz, Savannah, GA

Ms Alonso and Lisa - my deepest condolences. Bob and I have been close friends since high school at Benedictine and through UGA. I moved away from Savannah to work in Hong Kong in 1991 and have not had a chance to catch up with Bob until recently. Through email and facebook, we were able to talk over the phone about a month ago. It was so good to hear his voice again and to catch up with him and reminiscing about our days in Savannah / Athens. We had some great times in high school and college and I will always treasure these memories. I will always remember Bob for his kindness and his passion for life. Even though I will not be able to make it to the funeral, my thoughts and prayers will be there. I will pay my respects the next time I am in Savannah. Please take care and God bless.

- Danny Yao, Savannah / Hong Kong, GA

I was so very shocked and so very sad to hear this news. I have spoke with Bob several times recently. I feel very honored that the Sunday before he left for Rhode Island, he stopped by with his new corvette - and he took me for a ride. Wow !!! He was so proud and so excited about this car! We rode to Rick and Dianne's house - it was so much fun to share his excitement of this car with him! A day I will never forget. He talked about his family, the Corvette Club, and going back to work, such a great man, he will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family. May his memory be eternal.

- Cathy Lamas, Savannah, GA

Maureen and Lisa, I was shocked to see the paper about Bobby passing. We had a long talk at his father's visitation recently. I know this is a hard time for the two of you. God be with you.

- Jacky Yglesias, Tybee Island, GA

Maureen and Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about Bobby. I have not seen Bobby in many years, but I have so many fond memories of him when we were teenagers. He was my 1st love. Prayers of comfort and strength.

- Janice Phillips, Cumming, GA

We met Captain Bob in 1996 when he joined The Coastal Corvette Association. We have so many fond memories of him. He watched our son grow from a toddler to now a senior at SCAD. Bob was always offering Ian help printing out posters, providing use of his camera and other techno-geek stuff. When our son started playing drums in a local band(Individually Twisted) Bob was one of their most loyal followers.....always putting $20.00 in the tip jar for them to play Freebird, knowing that song was their least favorite to play! The band played city market last Friday night and they dedicated that song to their friend Captain Bob. We really became close to Bob after he lost the love of his life,Pam. After his father's recent passing, my husband Robert and the mighty Captain became inseparable-sharing their love for corvettes, love of grilling out and attending every gun show near Savannah. Bob was a very good friend. He will surely be missed!!! Our hearts and prayers go out to Maureen and Lisa.

- Robert and Susan Doyle, Savannah, GA

We met Bob through the Corvette Club and were very shocked to hear of his sudden passing. He has been through a lot in the past few months, especially with losing his dad; he was a great guy-one of those "give you the shirt off his back" guys. He will be missed dearly. Prayers go out to his family. RIP Bob.God Bless.

- Bill & Pat Powers, Savannah, GA

I met Bobby at Athens, as many of us did, and he has been a loyal friend to myself with my family for 37 years. He actually went on my first first date with Cheryl and has been part of this family ever since. Its a long story, but all of us have so many stories of good times because of Bobby. They need to be shared. He will be missed by so many people. And although maybe strange to say, all I can think of is at least he got to drive his new Corvette. He was so excited about getting that car. God bless you Captian and rest in peace. We miss you deeply.

- Jeff, Cheryl and Sydney Dean, Boca Raton, Fl

I just heard about Bobby. Although I had not seen him in years he was still a great friend and had a special place in my heart. Bobby and I had been friends since living in the same apartment complex in Athens. Bobby was a groomsmen in my wedding in 1988. Great memories of a fantastic friend. He will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jan
