Savannah- Jean A. Sikes passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016.
Our Mother will be remembered for the love and kindness of her heart and dedication to her family. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Derrick Sikes; sister, Carolyn Matthews, and brother, Jimmy Shuman.
Surviving are her daughters, Pam Young (Richard) of Savannah, Carla Padgett (Robert) of Stem, NC; six grandchildren, Brandon Padgett, Brooke Padgett, Blake Padgett, Jeremy Young (Megan), Rebecca Kimball (Ryan), and Ryan Young; seven great-grandchildren, Nadell Padgett, Kohle Padgett, Gabriel Padgett, Hadley Young, Conrad Young, Ava Jean Young, and Everly Young; several nieces and nephews, and her furry companion, Jada .
A Memorial Service with Brother Mitch Lynn officiating, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of Hospice Savannah for the love and care shown to our Mother.

Not many people in this world can hold a candle to the amazing Jean. I love this special lady so much and will miss her dearly. I sure wish I could be there with my family, but circumstances just won't allow. I will be thinking of everyone!
