Wayne C. Spear

Wayne Spear, 77, died on June 1 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Eastman, GA on June 26,1939 and lived in Savannah most of his life. Wayne was a local Entrepreneur; owing Records Unlimited, and a bakery as well as managing properties. An animal lover, Wayne was a founding member of the Friends of the Animals.  He served as a ward captain of Columbia Square and was a major supporter of Historic Savannah Foundation and SCAD.

Surviving are his husband, Murray Perlman; one brother, Ray Spear, numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins, Ginger and Jerry Caplan.

It is suggested that remembrances be made in Wayne's memory to Friends of the Animals. The family expresses heartfelt thanks and love to the caregivers, who have become extended family.
