Celebrating the life of
Sarai Calista Marie
May 22, 2016 - March 31, 2026
Sarai Calista Marie passed away in the loving arms of her mom (Tiffany) and stepdad (David) on the early morning of Tuesday, March 31, 2026, due to ongoing medical complexities caused by her Adrenal Insufficiency and Glutaric Academia Type 1.
Sarai, born in Pleven, Bulgaria, was adopted by her mom (Tiffany) and Dad (Daniel) at the age of 4 years old in 2020 and became a US Citizen the day they landed back in the United States. From that day forward, she was a resident of Georgia; Savannah was her home.
To know Sarai was to love Sarai. Her mom has always described Sarai as “The Epitome of Love!” She had an absolutely infectious smile and a laugh that would light up any room. Sarai was a very happy and loving child who would find reasons to laugh in almost any situation, even when her pain was almost unbearable. One of her favorite things in life was getting startled when she least expected it; oh, the laughter it would bring out of her!
Sarai loved so many things in life; it was rare to find things she didn’t care for. Going to the beach was, however, her happy place. She loved all bodies of water, but, of course, Tybee was a favorite, along with Driftwood beach, and Miami Beach. Her all-time favorite, though, was Honolulu, Hawaii! Sarai and her family got to spend 5 days spoiling her in Hawaii for Sarai's Make A Wish trip in 2024! From that trip on, if you ever mentioned Hawaii to her, she would light up and happy squeal!
Sarai experienced a lot of hardships in life and many of those were from ongoing medical complexities which included numerous hospitalizations and procedures. Despite this, Sarai never let much of anything stop her from finding the joy in life! She loved her family fiercely and brought so much love and happiness to them. She was the light, heart, and soul of her family.
Sarai is survived by her loving parents – Tiffany, Daniel, and David. Her siblings – Mackenzie, Jaiden, Joslynn, and Ezariah. Her great maternal grandparents – John and Carol. Her grandmother's — Carole, Wanda, Barbara, and Victoria. Also, so many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from all sides of her family to mention by name. Sarai is predeceased by so many loving family members, including her cousin Nikki, Great Grandma Lamb, unborn brothers/sisters, Brother Gabriel, Poppa Jerry, Grandma Lana, Grandpa Brian, Poppa Bill, and Noni Sarah, along with so many more who greeted her in heaven with open arms.
Despite Sarai’s family experiencing the deepest sorrow they have ever had to face in life, knowing their “Sweet Epitome of Love” is no longer in pain and is now in the loving arms of Jesus brings them peace in their time of sorrow.
A private service will be held for Sarai's beloved family, friends, and medical personnel on April 11, 2026 at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Home in Savannah, GA. Family gathering & Video memorial will begin at 2pm. Memorial will start at 3pm.
Sarai's favorite color was rainbow, so the family wants to see everyone in color.
