Celebrating the life of
Gloria Mae Rogers Moses
January 08, 1930 - September 16, 2025

On September 16, 2025, Gloria Mae Moses (nee Rogers) passed to her eternal peace. She was 95 years old.
Born January 8, 1930, in Augusta, GA, Gloria led a full and active life. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1947 and soon after rode a bus to Augusta where she attended the Barrett School of Nursing on a scholarship. With her nursing degree in hand, Gloria then worked at Augusta's University Hospital for the next two years. She then enlisted in the United States Air Force as a first Lieutenant and received orders to serve at Larson Air Force Base in Washington State. She courageously drove across the country in her trusty VW Bug, Biddy Boo, to this distant posting where she met her husband, Dale Warren Moses, also in the USAF. They traveled extensively, spending several years in Japan, then on to California, Arkansas, San Antonio, and finally returning to her beloved home town, Savannah. Gloria was a practicing nurse for many years and then took on the responsibility of managing with Dale a successful trucking business in San Antonio. After retiring to Savannah, Gloria became an active member in The Retired Officers Association (now the Military Officers Association of America) and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Gloria was a member of Wesley Oak Church and Asbury Memorial Church. Gloria and her husband, Dale, greatly helped Wesley Oak in the 1990s when the church looked as though it may need to close. Their work and leadership helped revive the church and its ministries. In later years, Gloria reconnected with Asbury Memorial, which was the church of her childhood.
She is preceded in death by her dear husband Dale, her sisters Bobbye A. Moelich and June L. Luster, much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and her parents Eva Eudell Rogers (nee Williamson) and John Russell Rogers.
