Ann Carol Hosti Trammell

Ann Carol Hosti Trammell, of Tybee Island, GA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023. 

Ann was born on March 11, 1955 to the late Ernest C. Hosti and Dorothy Lee Hosti. She was a graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School, and retired from the City of Savannah. Ann was a retired Tybee Island firefighter, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Tybee, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Ann was a very loving mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She was an avid world traveler. Ann’s passion was making memories and sharing laughs with family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. She was fearless, compassionate, and a fierce friend when needed. She is loved by her family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Norris Trammell; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and David Cornelius.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Sean and Katie Trammell; daughter and son-in-law, Gillian and Steven Sprague; two stepdaughters, Kim Trammell and Lisa Brantley (Gary); granddaughters, Madison (Chris), Katherine (Kyle), Addison, and Hadley; sisters, Diane Ring, Theresa Cannady (Barney), Karin Hogan, Betty Jayne Hendrix, and Angel King; brother, Michael Hosti (Debbie); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Caitlin & Ben Moultroup, Eva, Jeremiah, Elijah, & Josie; and her furbaby, Fluff.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with a Rosary service beginning at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Tybee Island with Rev. Brett Brannen celebrating. A gathering for friends and family will immediately follow the Mass at the American Legion Post 154 on Tybee Island. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest you consider making a donation in Ann’s memory to the National Breast Cancer Society.
