Larry Ray Brown, 81, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Larry spent his childhood in Metter, Georgia before moving to Savannah. He was a retired Combat Veteran who served with the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam. He also retired from Great Dane after 27 years of service. Larry was married for 57 years to his loving wife, Libby Brown. They were also members of the Richmond Hill Church of Christ.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Ovid and Christine Brown; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.

Larry is survived by, his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Brown; son, James M. (Holly) Brown; grandsons, Eason Brown, Jack Jordan; granddaughters, Ivy Antonelli, Bella Jordan, and Sophie Jordan; great-granddaughter, Hazel Rae Daniel; sister, Grace Hale; best friend, Harold (Simone) Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Fox & Weeks Islands Chapel. A burial will follow at 1:30pm at Lake Cemetery in Metter, GA.
