Barbara Ann Rankhorn Nitchman

Barbara Ann Rankhorn Nitchman, 79, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Nashville, TN daughter of Marvin Nelson and Ethel Hartman Rankhorn.  After graduation from Antioch High School in Nashville, she met the love of her life, Raymond Nitchman.  As a military wife, she followed her husband throughout his career.  At one point they were stationed at Hunter Army Air Field and they loved Savannah so much they returned after his retirement in 1971.  As an avid golfer while living at the Landings, she made a hole in one.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Nitchman, sister Peggy Jean Rankhorn and brother Nelson Marvin Rankhorn.

Surviving are two daughters Rhonda K. Parham of Richmond Hill; Cynthia Lynn Hanna (Ronald) of Brooklet; sister Linda Faye Camp (John) of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and her very special feline fur baby Diva.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Entombment will follow in a private mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
