Marilyn Carpenter Price

Marilyn Carpenter Price, 87, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Memorial Health. She was born March 15, 1930 in Savannah, GA to the late Bert H. and Lucille Rushing Carpenter. She was a resident of Tybee Island since 1956 where she was a communicant of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and also a member of the Women’s Club of St. Michael’s. She was a recipient of the Bishop Gartland Service Award. Mrs. Price was an L.P.N. and enjoyed helping and giving to people all over Tybee. Her year round love of Christmas was shared with all her family and friends and evident in her decorations in her home.
Surviving are two daughters, Anne Price Pilcher (Ray) of Fairfax, VA, and Peggy Price Morrow (Gordon) of Atlanta, and one son, John Price (Kathleen) of Tybee Island. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, John Paul Price, Sarah Cerniglia, Shawn Price, Kevin Pilcher, Theresa Morrow, Justin Price, and Catherine Blenke, ten great-grandchildren, one sister Corine Hair, one brother David Eugene Carpenter, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church. 802 Lovell Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328.
